Proposal (text sent by the artist Li Liyue)*:

“Breath”

Concept:

The atmosphere pollution is increasing in our cities, thus the PM2.5 index is getting high extremely fast. Even though gas is not being rejected and eliminated as solid is. So my work aims to make us think about the need of getting rid of toxic gas from our atmosphere.

Process:

Inviting the audience to breath in many plastic bags, gathering their breath, their air. After 2 hours there will be many plastic bags with air inside. It’s meaning is to make exhaust gas to be visible and to compare it with the exhaust air created at industrial factories, in order to show the emergency of air pollution situation.

Materials:

A roll of plastic bags, microphone and sound equipment.”
