Text sent by Rubén:
As days pass by I start getting a celare picture of what I wish to make. I enjoy the idea of working with light and shadows as in the passage of Tanizaki’s book. I find interesting to do something rather more familiar and intimate insect an impersonal and strange space as it is a hotel room. Even though the camera obscura will not work in this situation, as we will simply manipulate the blind curtains we will get a beautiful effect of reflections. It will be also more performative and a more sober action as long as we will use less resources. Therefore my aim is to make a brief series of four or five drawings on the wall where the light impacts. It will be a delicate thing so that we will just need to fix the paper with pins to the wall. For the last stage when I will glue the pigment I will need the room table. Whilst I will work on the drawings on the wall lights will be off. I will keep on thinking about all this. It will be convenient to have a thin layer of plastic protection to prevent any damages on floor and walls.
